December playlist

I am so much into remixes and rap right now. Here's some of my favourite ones. It aligns so much with the x'mas and new year party mood. Hope you like it!

Wish list #1

Forever 21 belted wrap coat

Forever 21 varsity jacket

Jack Wills bag

Cardigan by Malo

Topshop boutique sweater

It has been a long time since I last updated because of my school workload and my laziness... I have been longing for buttonless coat and varsity jacket for a long time. Also, my current 'schoolbag' is showing the result of abrasion. That gives me an excuse to buy a new bag for school! Yeah! The Malo cardigan looks so nice on Denni's body! I love the grey sweater because it brings some chic to any outfits!

How to be better

  1. Stay positive and keep going
  2. Start that thing, which you are procrastinating forever, right away
  3. Reflect on yourself
  4. Stay humble
  5. Not to be scared to make mistakes and learn from them
  6. Get out of your comfort zone and try new things
  7. Note it down when you have inspiration for your projects / blog, etc
  8. Do not take things for granted
  9. Do not think about how others think about you, there is no benefit doing that. You would be so much happier and free when you don't care about others' comments on you.
  10. Be yourself, your best self

Fashion students! Learn from Chalayan interview!

The topics that he talked about is inspiring. That could actually makes a dissertation topic!

Chalayan: "Everyone wants to be a designer. I am like, do you know what it takes?"

Golbin: "So, what does it takes?"

Chalayan: "I think it takes strength, belief, confidence, patience; you have to have money . . . nobody funded my business, I have to find collaborations. Initially, I did it not for money, I did it because I really enjoyed it. I really felt I have something new to say at that time."

Important note from Chalayan:
For those of you who want to be designers, you have to constantly have ideas. I think of the works as eras of work. I usually work in pairs that connect to each other and then there will be new chapters open in the next era of work.

You have to stick to it (being a fashion designer).

I think that we are all creatures where I definitely have a strong character but I am also very vulnerable. I have to embrace it. This is part of being human. Embrace everything about yourself.
